Dr. Mary Kovach Receives National Meritorious Service Award fromOrder Sons and Daughters of Italy in America®

Cincinnati, Ohio – On February 12, 2022, Dr. Mary Kovach, among four others, was awardedthe National President’s Meritorious Service Award from Robert (Bob) Bianchi, Esq., theNational President of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America® (OSDIA).

The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America® (OSDIA), established in 1905, is the largestand oldest national organization for men and women of Italian heritage in the United States. TheMeritorious Service Award is the highest honor the National President can bestow upon a personwho has demonstrated excellence on behalf of advancing the interests of the Order Sons andDaughters of Italy in America. Dr. Kovach advises OSDIA’s national office located inWashington D.C., serves on a number of national committees, and is the Orator for theCincinnatus Lodge #1191 in Cincinnati, Ohio (established in 1923).

Dr. Kovach, a Cleveland, Ohio native, is an associate professor with 15 years of Fortune 500experience, several publications, and awards. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from BaldwinWallace University, her MBA from Cleveland State University, and her Ph.D. from MiamiUniversity (Ohio). Dr. Kovach created a YouTube channel entitled “Dr. K - The ManagementProfessor” and in 2021, released a book entitled “ROCKSTAR Manager: From Theory toPractice,” Foreword by Rocco DiSpirito, award-winning chef, author, and businessman.Additionally, Dr. Kovach celebrated her Italian heritage by releasing her first cookbook, “Don’tCut the Basil: Five Generations of Authentic Italian Recipes” in December 2020 with hercousins. During their digital launch weekend on Amazon, their cookbook earned #1 Best Sellerin four countries (the United States, Italy, Canada, and the United Kingdom) for a total of 34Best Seller categories and earned twelve #1 placements.
